This mattress protector is made from 100% Tencel which is naturally anti-microbial and resists dust mites, bacteria and allergens. Tencel is a sustainable fabric which is made of 100% biodegradable wood cellulose from eucalyptus trees. Tencel fabrics are softer than silk, cooler than linen, even more absorbent than cotton and also resistant to wrinkles. This eco-fabric has natural breathability, 50% greater moisture absorption than cotton and helps to keep your little one cool on the hottest nights. Due to the fabric`s properties the growth of bacteria is inhibited, as are mould and mites. The polyurethane waterproof layer also acts as an anti-allergy barrier.
